While “sustainability” is a somewhat new term to some, it is the basis
of Spanky’s success since it opened in November 1981. Your
well-cared-for items can move on to another person’s closet and you can
be rewarded for taking good care of your things and rotating your closet
in a timely manner. Consignment requires little effort and brings great
reward.
Basically, the concept of consignment brings a buyer and a seller (the
consignor) together. Spanky’s is well-organized, staffed with
well-informed employees who know fashion and give superior customer
service, and “gets” what you need to do to make your closet work for
you. And, we have items for everyone in your family.
Our customers are looking for things that are appropriate for the
season, in great condition, and ready to go out into the world. Things
that are too worn, or have stains or other flaws will not be accepted
for our racks.

Preparation: Items travel best to us
when they are stacked flat and unfolded. In an effort to save processing
time, we don’t process articles on hangers or in boxes.
Payment: YES!! The most exciting
part!! When your items sell, credit is accumulated. This credit can
either be applied to purchases of other merchandise in our store or can
be banked toward a monthly check. Our minimum check amount is $20.
